Together and in the streets: transforming fear into strength, silence into dialogue, and harassment into collective action and joy. #NoNosSeparemos.

Synopsis

A documentary that weaves together the personal and the collective to confront street harassment and the transformative power of supporting each other. Through a dialogue between generations — mothers, daughters, friends, and fellow activists — the film draws an emotional and political map of fear, rage, tenderness, and hope, opening pathways to self-defense, shared joy, and the reclaiming of public space.

Why learn about this impactful campaign?

The #NoNosSeparemos campaign succeeded in transforming an intimate documentary about street harassment into a collective tool for awareness, prevention, and feminist action. Through public screenings, school workshops, community partnerships, and participatory methodologies, it reached an audience of over 2,500 people in Mexico and also reached audiences in China, France, Thailand, and Kenya through screenings organized by universities, embassies, and collectives. Its main contribution is demonstrating that cinema can create spaces of trust where women recognize themselves as agents of change. Accessibility (Mexican Sign Language, audio description, multilingual subtitles) is not an extra but a transformative axis. The experience can inspire filmmakers and educators interested in gender issues, human rights, and critical pedagogy. Moreover, this campaign is an example of collaboration between the production team, commercial distributor, and impact campaign.
